Reports suggest Rangers could be looking at making a move for Irish under-21 international Liam Kelly. The midfielder, who’s contract at the Madejski Stadium expires in the summer, is free to talk to clubs over a move soon although Rangers could try land him in the January window.
Kelly is highly-rated at Reading, making his first team debut earlier this season, and is attracting interest from a number of clubs down south. At only 20-years-old, Kelly is far from the finished article but seems to fit the type of player Warburton is known to prefer.
Of course, it could also be an agent trying to get hid client a better deal at his current club but with Kranjcar out for the season, Barton free to spend his time playing twitter philosopher and Jordan Rossiter suffering with injuries (something related to dwarfism according to an esteemed ‘Rangers fan’ blog) there’s likely going to be some new faces in midfield.
Oh aye, and he might provide some competition to Tav on free kicks...
