This Rangers team are falling apart piece by piece
First, we played fantastic football, dominated teams, scored lots of great goals, and looked very fit and hungry. But we let in a lot of daft goals.
Then, we played fantastic football, dominated teams, and looked very fit and hungry. But we let in a lot of daft goals, and didn't seem to score as many.
Then, we dominated teams, and looked very fit and hungry. But we still let in a lot of daft goals, still didn't seem to score as many, and didn't play as attractive football anymore.
Then, we dominated teams. But we didn't look as fit anymore, and got outfought by smaller teams, through either better stamina or desire. We were still letting in daft goals, weren't really scoring as many, and the football wasn't so attractive.
Today, we didn't even dominate them. And you know the rest.
Does this sound like it's going to just magically improve and click overnight? The team has been getting worse and falling apart piece by piece, doing fewer things well with every passing game. We've had this long idea that one day it'll all click, but that is looking increasingly less likely. We're as far away from that happening as we ever have been, and we're running out of reasons to think it'll ever happen.
Clearly, something needs to change. FAO Mr Warburton: It's going to be either the system, or you. We'd really rather it wasn't the latter but clearly something drastic needs to be done. This isn't working. There really isn't much more to say than that.
