Rangers have completed agreements to sign Josh Windass and Matt Crooks on free transfers upon the expiry of their contracts at Accrington Stanley.
However, despite suggestions that a bid was being prepared to take the highly-rated pair to Ibrox in this window, Mark Warburton stated in his press conference today that the moves would not take place until the summer.
That explains why we're chasing Toumani Diagouraga to fill the holding midfield role - and with Harry Forrester providing some competition for the attacking spots in the short-term. It may be a negotiating ploy of course, but it looks very unlikely we'll be seeing either of the pair in a blue shirt until next season.
You will also be unsurprised to learn that the old, much-beloved narrative of Big Bad Rangers bullying the little guys is back, as the Accrington Stanley owner, Andy Holt, has claimed that the club didn't go about things in the proper manner, today sending this Tweet:
@RangersFC hello? Do you really expect anyone to believe that you didn't contact our lads before you sent this? pic.twitter.com/W8SLi59Uxm

You may also find the associated Timplosion in the replies to be a source of some amusement. Diddy clubs embarrassing themselves and wailing over our every action? We really are back, aren't we?
