Josh Windass looks like he could well be on his way to Ibrox - STV have a report up claiming that the Accrington Stanley midfielder has agreed terms to join Rangers.
Windass is one of two Stanley players being pursued by Mark Warburton, with Matt Crooks the other, and with both players' contracts expiring in the summer, Rangers are free to talk to them and sign an agreement to move on a free transfer (minus a small fee for training compensation) in summer.
That seems to be when STV claim the move will take place, but other stories in the past have suggested it might be in this window. Since we're not exactly out of sight of Hibs and Falkirk, and we'd all like to see a bit more attacking firepower added to the team, it's got to be worth at least seeing if we can pay a fee to seal the deal ahead of time. But with Stanley in the playoff places and hunting promotion, it's possible they might decide to hang on rather than cash in.
