Rangers Transfer News: Billy King set to move to Ibrox on loan

Hearts' Billy King is set to join Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

The transfer we all dreamed of has happened, although in slightly bizarre circumstances. We're loaning players from Hearts now?

Whether this is in mind to a permanent move or not remains to be seen, although we'd imagine not. The major downside to this is that it'll no doubt raise a thousand "Where's the money Mister King!" thinkpieces, so there'll be plenty of discussion about that to deal with.

King not only has a wonderful name but is also a very good young winger, who would give us more options in attack. It presumably means an end to the pursuit of Michael O'Halloran, however. There's certainly a case to suggest we shouldn't be spending big money on players until we've gone up, but... loaning players from Hearts?
