Rangers' transfer bid for Toumani Diagouraga has been dragging, and after having expected it to be tied up last weekend, things have taken a turn for the worse - Leeds United have joined the chase and have had a bid accepted.
It's probable that Diagouraga would still rather join us - he did hand in a transfer request to come to Ibrox, and there's the appeal of trophies and working with his old boss, under whom he enjoyed his best form. But whatever Leeds have bid, there's certainly no chance of getting Brentford to accept a lower fee.

We could see this one move pretty quickly today. Missing out on the player would come as a pretty big disappointment, since it's the position we're most desperate to upgrade. Hopefully the club can still get this one over the line - this could be a big test for our board if they can successfully get their man.
