Barrie McKay is expected to sign a new contract soon, according to Mark Warburton.
The manager, speaking in his press conference before the Livingston game, said that "it's a case of dotting the Is and crossing the Ts" and expected the talented youngster to join Andy Halliday and Jason Holt in committing his future to the club.
McKay is probably our most in-form player at present, and has developed hugely over the course of the season, the most pleasant surprise in a season full of them after a nightmare last year, so this is great news.
Warburton also touched on a number of other topics, claiming that no Premiership teams had registered an interest in Cammy Bell (contrary to reports Aberdeen wanted him), no clubs had made any bids for Martyn Waghorn, and said that we wanted "two or three" more players in this window and he wasn't a fan of waiting too long to get business done.
So, there you have it. It's all looking good for the rest of the window and the season.
