Andy Halliday and Jason Holt have signed new four-year contracts at Rangers, the club have confirmed.
This was in the works, as we mentioned a couple of days ago, and it's great to see players wanting to commit to us for the long-haul. Both players are now tied down until 2020, and Holt in particular looks like he could be a key member of the squad for years to come. Halliday has been a fine player despite being played in an unfamiliar role, and might yet benefit from being moved forwards if, as seems likely, the club signs a defensive midfielder in this transfer window.
One player we're still waiting on, however, is Barrie McKay - Mark Warburton had previously named the in-form youngster along with Halliday and Holt as someone who was about to sign a new deal. Let's hope it's not indicative of any hold-ups and the agreement will be announced soon.
