Andy Murdoch will be spending the rest of the season in Dumfries, it seems. The young midfielder has joined Queen of the South on loan for the rest of the campaign.
A reasonable spell at Cowdenbeath obviously made the club think he could handle the step up to the Championship, although not enough to make him a part of the squad for the rest of the campaign. It's a bit of a disappointment for someone who was player of the season last year, but standing out in that team probably wasn't going to be too difficult to do for anyone displaying basic competence.
Whether he'll have a future at the club remains to be seen, although if he does leave, hopefully a few decent spells should see us get a fee for him. It should be easier to track his progress, anyway - and hopefully he can take a few points off Hibs in the process.
